I am having the same exact problem. The last 2 years, I went to the beach almost everyday, had tons of fun, went on little day trips all the time, etc. This summer, I spent my whole summer sleeping due to fatigue, in pain, constant doctors appointments and physical therapy. It was awful.
I am in school and this is my last summer before I graduate and it should be full of fun. Instead it was full of pain and tiredness. Even worse, I have been like this for several months, and it is affecting my ability to last six hours at my clinical. I have to go back to school in September, with clinical twice a week, with no energy. Even on days I have no therapy, I am exhausted and tired. I take small walks if i can manage, but mostly on my computer, sleeping, or sitting on my couch doing crosswords. I also do my home therapy exercises, which at times tires me.
BUt I do have it in my mind that it will help me in the long run.
Good luck Hopegirl and I hope things get better for you.
