Pain in lots of different places!!!

Ok so here I go...... I have been having pain behind my ears and under my jaw bone down the sides of my neck,I am having a numbness spot on my back. It feels like it is only as big as a quarter size area. It goes numb on and off through out the day. Does anyone else have these kind of pains. I continue to have pain all over but now the pain under my jaw bone going down the side of myneck is killing me. Any advice would be great.   My doctor doesn't have me on any meds right now. Dont know how much longer I can deal with this pain. All the weird places I hurt keep me paranoid.

Yes Ak Angel, I was dx'd back in February. I had thought I might had cancer because this totally freaked me out. Doctor ran test and ruled out things. Had normal routine blood work done. All the new pains in different areas has me worried. I usually hurt daily. Noticed it mostly in my neck, back, groin area and sometimes under my arms going down my side. I am constantly feeling wore out. I am currently just taking Alieve. The doctor only gave me flexill. Which kicks my butt. Do you often feel like this or have these pains where I've mentioned?

I had TMJ surgery. Was on the table for 4 hours. Best surgery I ever had.

Prior to it, I had the headaches that could put a migrane to shame. The muscle spazes in my right arm and shoulder. Sometimes all the way down my leg. My jaw would crack. Could be heard in a Pizza Hut. Radishes, any salad, potato chips, most meats, couldn't do it. Just wasn't a way to live. The surgery isn't for everybody, but it sure worked wonders for me. I wasn't wired closed, but was not allowed to chew for 2 months.

It's easy to blame everything on fibro. And its hard to determine if it really is, or if something else is going on. Then you wrestle with yourself about going in to see doc, will s/he think you are a hypochondriac? Ugh.

So I figure if it lasts more than a week or so, I'm not bleeding, fainting or running a fever, I'll probably wait a few days, then go.

The numb spot on your back definitely could be nerve related but a chiro really could help it. I get a numb spot about the size of a quarter on my back, to the right of my left shoulder blade, and when it appears I know it's time to go to the chiro. I've only been to the chiro once in the last six months because getting adjusted makes me flare, but my chiro told me that numbness means a compressed nerve, and that the longer it's compressed the more likely you'll permanently damage the nerve.

toughenough-Funny you should mention the atlas. I want to find a chiro to check my atlas as I have lots of headaches that originate from my neck. Also, my aunt talked to me about it extensively when she was recommended to have hers adjusted to treat her high blood pressure. It worked, coincidentally enough, and she's now been off of her blood pressure meds for three months.

I went to my Atlas Chiropractor because of the precise methods they use to adjust the atlas with just 6 lbs of pressure with a stylus as I could never let a regular chiro adjust my neck. She got rid of my headaches and when they went away my blood pressure dropped and I too got off of BP medication. She adjusts my back with an activator, which is also less traumatic than a regular chiro too. So it is gentle manipulation and doesn't bring on flares. I use to go to a regular chiropractor and she did help me but couldn't do what I needed the most.

I have to go back every 3 or 4 weeks as things do slip out and need adjusting again. It is worth every trip as I'd had headaches for 2 solid years before I went. I wish I could get my fibro fixed as easily!
