Refuse to let fibro steal the essence of who you are.

Pain hurts, we all know that...and I'm truly sorry that so many suffer, but we cannot let fibro or any other condition rob us of enjoying our lives.
Life is too short to let opportunities go by...OK, maybe there are some things you are no longer able to do...find a replacement activity, have fun. It saddens me to know that some think their lives are ruined...our lives are changed and all the anger in the world will not change that.
It is my hope that we all find peace within ourselves to lead happy
lives.
Earlier today I posted something and I deleted it...thinking it was too negative. I was up most of the night in the throes of a bad flare. Rethinking it, I decided to repost it as it was an honest expression of how I was feeling...I'm still flaring but the pain is not as intense. My point is...flares will come and go and it is something we need to accept. We have to focus on the good days ahead, and try to do the best we can on the days that aren't so great.
Awakened by pain, I seek solacein the still of the night Praying this agony will endbefore the morning light This battle of pain, an unending fightsomeday will be won if it takes all my might It will not control who I'll be just because it's part of me Begging for the strength not to loseliving my life the way I choose I continue to pray for this pain to endthat He hears my words and mercy send. Robin I wrote this with the help of pain
