Will surgery put me into a flare?

I am having foot surgery in the near future. Surgery is essentially a stressor on the body, and I was wondering if this will put me in a flare so I will be in even more pain than just my foot hurting after the surgery. Does anyone know?

I had double mastectomy in Dec, did not notice a fibro flare. But everybody is different.

I had my colon removed and didn't flare either. There are no guarantees but you most likely will be just fine. Think positive thoughts.

I've had surgery twice since my fibro got really bad. Both times I woke up in a flare on the day of surgery, presumably from stress, but it didn't get any worse post-op. One was wrist surgery and the other was a total hysterectomy and wrist surgery (at the same time).

I've had surgery several times since Fibro too, and haven't suffered flares with it.
