hello. Hopefully this comes out okay. I had my eyes dilated this morning and can't see very well. Yesterday I had a full body massage. When I turned over for my stomach to my back I noticed my eyes were blurry. I thought my vision I was just trying to adjust. However I have had a revision ever since the massage. I can still see, but things are a bit blurry at a distance. I doctor says things look normal. Have a call in to my doctor. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? Thank you

My vision changes from day to day. Sometimes from hour to hour. I think I heard from someone recently that since our eyes are basically made of nerves that fibro can flare in our eyes too.

I just don't understand why it flared during a massage? The eye dr is stumped. Sucks. Joy what changes in your vision ?

Hi Nancy!

My sister has been complaining of problems with her vision, too. She's in the middle of a pretty bad flare, so what Joy mentioned makes a lot of sense. I hope your peepers are back to to normal soon.

Also, my sister suffers from IC, too. How do you cope with that? She was on Elmiron for a few years, but it had no effect. With the fibro acting up her urgency has increased. Just thought I'd see how you were fairing...

It happens to me frequently. It does scare you. For some reason if I use my moisture drops daily I seem to have less blureness.

Ic is awful. However whats been my saving grace is pelvic floor therapy. Have your sister ask her dr about it. My therapist is wonderful. I also use valium suppsitories when i really have a flare up. I avoid acidic foods and gluten! Since ive been gluten free I have noticed a big difference.

Saw a dr tonight since my eyes were worse. They treated me for ocular migraine? Never heard of it. Can that last for days? Ugh. Hate vision problems. They scare me

One of my first signsthat a flare is coming is my eyes. Starts out with a dull ache, aalmost like a headache is coming. Then comes the blurriness. That has to be my biggest fear - going blind...

I never know when mine will hit. I'll wake up with blurred vision sometimes, other times it will just suddenly hit. It's usually the worse on flare days.

Yikes! As if fibro sufferers don't have enough to worry about. Nancy, I do hope your vision problems clear up soon - and thank you for the advice regarding IC, I will definitely look into what you suggested.

They gave me an IV yesterday of fluids, benadryl and reglan. It actually helped a ton! I still have a smidge of bluriness but no where near as bad. Dr said reglan works well on migraines. Heres hoping it keeps working!

My vision has been blurry today (especially reading) and I am in a horrible flare up. It was so great to see your post and know this can be from my flare up. I just had an eye exam last week and my vision had not changed since last year. Glad I found this forum!
