woke up with sore ankle

Today I woke up with a very painful ankle. I thought "oh boy, fibro is going to pester my ankle today". I took it in stride as another "fun" flare and chose to rest it and not fret too much.
When it just kept hurting more and more I began to worry if it was something worse.

Then it dawned on me
Last night while getting ready for bed I lost my balanced and wobbled on that foot a little. I guess I sprained or twisted it and didn't realized I had hurt it that much.

So now I'm sitting here with it propped up in a brace waiting for it to feel better.

I can't believe I forgot I hurt it last night.

ooooouch...Ive done that. Hope you get better soon Couchtater. I stubbed my toe today, not as bad as an ankle sprain but just wanted you to know, as misery loves company :O)

As Wackers said, misery loves company, so here's my complaint today - charliehorse in calf. Woke up with my left (of course) leg locked tight and in pain. I have no idea why. Had to press it hard against the bed to get it to loosen up a little. I'm functioning now, but not very happily.

And what I did later, whacking my reacher as hard as I could against a laundry basket (twice) while yelling "NO!" at my dog probably didn't help anything. It didn't make any impression on her, either...   she just cocked her head curiously and kept doing what she was doing.

Then I went out to the mailbox and tried to use my remote car opener to open it. 

It's FRIday!!

Don't feel bad...I forget EVERYthing most of the time. I think there's just too much stuff, too many competing signals, all trying to get into our brains at once. That's the picture that comes to my mind, anyway...who knows...

Wish I had some good advice for you. My 1st thought was ice, but if you can't do that, that would sure complicate the issue. I just don't know...

Joy, I'm so sorry this happened.  I do hope it is feeling better now.

 

Also, don't beat yourself up because you didn't remember.  You deal with pain daily so what's another pain?  You didn't really think you hurt your ankle when you went  to bed...you just wobbled a little. 

 

Forgetful?  I have forgotten entire conversations!  Now THAT was scary to me.  I used to have a fabulous memory but I can't claim that now.  But, I find if I don't worry or fret over it, I do far better with my memory.  There is a wonderful book called The Memory Book written by Harry Lorayne and Jerry Lucas that can be found on Amazon.  I read it years ago and still use some of their tips.
