I'm dancing and jumping for joy in my heart!
I had my SSD hearing today and both the judge and the DOL person agreed that I couldn't work. The lawyer told me in about
a month I would get the official notice. A huge weight has been lifted off my soul.

You've got a dancing partner, Kiddo! I'm so happy for you. This will help you a lot.

So glad to hear this most favourable outcome. It is no different in Canada. I needed a Lawyer's help. I am on Disability now. I never wanted to be disabled but the diseases we have acquired are disabling. Some people manage to stay working and others like me cannot function enough with the pain to continue working.
I truly had hoped to improve when I stopped work but I haven't. I could not even go back to work without a medical approval.
It is so stressful to have to go through these processes but at least now you can focus more on your health.
Take care.

Congrats Joy! That's wonderful news. FYI - the handicap tag is pretty easy. All it takes is a form signed by your doctor and a trip to the DMV. You can download the form from your state's DMV website. Go at an off hour and you won't even have to wait very long and will walk out with a temp tag and then get a permanent tag in the mail a couple weeks later.
Have a blessed day!
