Does anyone work a full time job at a desk? I work 9-5:30 Mon-Fri in an office and I am finding it very difficult as the day wears on. My back and neck pain increases to a point where I will take a hydrocodone by 3 or 4 just to get through it. I worry that it is too much and I will become dependent. I try to get up and walk around, I stretch, drink alot of water, talk to myself and focus on my work, etc. Thankfully, chronic fatigue is not my issue as much as pain and burning and extreme tightness in my neck muscles like an elepahant is sitting on my shoulders. By the time I get home at 6:30 I am really bad and then I have things to do as I have a family and my wonderful mom who is 90. She doesn't require much help other than making sure she takes her proper meds at bedtime, etc. but it's not like I can just go home and get in bed. There are responsibilities. I do try if I have the energy to take at least a 15 minute hot bath before bed to stop the aching/burning back muscles.
P.S.: I leave for vacation Thursday and am curious to see if I still feel like this? I do notice that the weekends are not as intense although not all weekends are good.
Any suggestions for getting through the work day would be welcome.
