Finger Injured

I am having hard time with everything. I cut my baby finger badly and I had to get stitches. What is a worry is that the top part of my finger will not bend. I am sure I have injured a nerve. I will be following up with my Doctor to take the stitches out after 10 days.

I am still dealing with an outer ear infection. It is not going away and will likely need a follow up for that too.

One Doctor now has filled out a form indicating that I have Complex Regional Pain Syndrome lll. It was implied by another Doctor many years ago that I may have Fibromyalgia. No matter what it is, it isn't easy to live with.

Sorry to hear what happened. I cut my baby finger badly several years ago (got to see my bone - yuck). I had the same worry. I did get feeling back eventually. It took a few years before it was back to normal, but it got better. not sure if you will be the same case, but wanted to let you know it was possible.

I was diagnosed with CRPS around 2011 after a bad ankle break. much of the treatment is the same for Fibro. The trick for me is learning which pains are which as it sometimes helps me treat them.

I am really sorry to hear you are dealing with all of this at once. Sometimes it seems like things are unrelenting. I hope the doc gives you good info. I know it isn't easy to live with. I sometimes get very frustrated dealing with both CRPS and Fibro. The biggest difference for me is that I have to really exercise the CRPS issues. Right now I have been seeing a Dr. in PT who specializes in this. He has been keeping me moving. With CRPS it is absolutely important to keep any affected area moving and stretched. It gets harder as it goes. I waited too long this fall because none of the docs knew what to do. The best thing I did for myself was go to PT. However, many of the exercises are online for CRPS too.

Keep us caught up with what the follow up doc says. If you can, see if they will recommend a neurologist for the CRPS. A good one can really help.
