Someone recommended that I try juicing two or three times a day so I can help my pain and possibly go off my medication because they had watched a documentary on Netflix with a woman who "cured her Fibromyalgia" by juicing.
I thought this idea is ridiculous because fibromyalgia is a nervous system disorder...
I mean sure, juicing would help some of the other symptoms such as IBS and fatigue, but dieting could never make our nerves shut up.
It just doesn't make sense to me and I wonder if people who claim that it does work maybe didn't have fibro in the first place.
They probably were just unhealthy and depressed from living the wrong lifestyle, and then when they started exercising and eating right, they started feeling better...of course!
I eat plenty of vegetables and fruits with small amounts of meat. Rarely have bread, rice, or sugar. I exercise. I do know that certain foods like fried stuff make me sicker, but I've never felt that eating healthy food helps my pain.
Some things, such as tea do make me feel better because of certain nutrients in them. http://chronicfatigue.about.com/b/2010/04/21/tea-for-fibromyalgia-chronic-fatigue-syndrome.htm.
But do we really need to juice diet to get the proper nutrients? It doesn't make sense to me.
I don't know, what do you guys think?
