Expiration Dates for Medication

I had to see the doctor because of constant coughing. He gave me a sample of an Advair Discus inhaler. After I took the first puff I noticed that the expiration of the lot was 12/2015! So I wasn't sure if I should continue using it. Of course, being New Year's Eve, the doctor's office closed early and the drug manufacturer was also closed. My pharmacy said it was fine for a few days BUT when doing a search, I came across this from Harvard Medical School and thought I'd pass it along!
