EBV and Vitamin D level Result

My Internist did some additional tests looking for Chronic Fatigue and/or Low Vitamin D levels. Here is the report. Comments?

So your d levels are 15.?

When mine were 19 , my symptoms were really bad! I thought my fibro was getting worse, but it was actually my d levels that were causing so many of the symptoms..

I'm confused about the EBV. Were the results positive or negative?

I had a Vitamin D level of 12 when first tested. I've yet to get it rechecked. But can see definite improvement since supplementing with D. I hope you get good results from adding it to your protocol, too.

The EBV was abnormal: Result 8.0 (Normal <0.9)

Vit D also low at 15.3 (Normal 32-100)

I got a prescription for Vitamin D 50,000 units

Hi,

Not that familiar with the virus..

But low d caused greatly increased pain, weakness, confusion, and muscle spasms..it took a good while to normalize this

Almost every person in the USA over the age of 30 has EBV titers...and many younger - the test is meaningless

Well then it's $190 hard earned dollars worth of meaningless... and actually it's part of a panel to rule out mono. Since my symptoms started with a febrile illness that included sore throat and was rapid strep negative the Internist and I thought it was worth a shot to see if I have a recent/previous exposure to mono. I was sero-negative 5 years ago when we had a huge outbreak of infectious mono in our area, so I've converted to antibody positive in the last little while.

My question is simply whether it has any relation to fibromyalgia or another disease/syndrome/conditon with symptoms that could be similar to fibromyalgia.
