I do get fibromyalgia pain in that area especially when I am sitting down a lot. Pain in the groin area could also be nerve related. That area is generously supplied with nerves. Groin pain is a common presentation of neuralgia from nerve injury or entrapment.
It could also be referred pain. This kind of pain may be caused by:
A kidney stone passing through a ureter.
A urinary tract infection.
Hip problems, especially in children and older adults
Maybe back problems aggravating the nerve.
Just to name a few....
I know that it's something that you need to see your doctor about because it could be important.
