Fibro Men, Testosterone is working wonders for me!

I haven’t been on in a while because I basically gave up on ever feeling even slightly better again. I’ve had Fibro for about 5 years now. In that time I tried all the meds (Lyrica, Cymbalta, Gabapentin) and various diets with no improvement. I also treated for Lyme Disease for over a year with little results. So needless to say I was skeptical that anything else would work at this point. Well I have to say that Testosterone Replacement Therapy has really helped me both with fatigue and pain. I’m not 100% and I know I never will be, but I do feel The best I have since being diagnosed. Find a doctor or health clinic and get started. You won’t regret it. And it will very likely cost you less than that Lyrica prescription. Aside from that, I’ve been trying to eat healthy, keep my stress levels down, exercise every day (yes I know how crazy that sounds) and do yoga/meditate. The good days are far more frequent and the bad days are much easier to handle. ✌️ Good Luck!

I’m sorry to hear you have to deal with medical stuff on top of Fibro. Fibro is like a full time job already.

The doctor said I was low but not like “another medical condition” low. More like, I’m 35 and not 25 low. All I know is that for the first time ever, something is helping my symptoms. I am doing it under the care of a doctor and getting regular blood work so I’m not too worried about negative side effects. I haven’t had any yet and honestly, I’d rather get a few years of feeling normal(ish) than a life sentence of pain and suffering.

Thanks Akkami for starting this topic! I've had fibro for many years and have never heard of this connection in all that time. I'm thrilled it's helping guys with fibro. I know of some doctors who won't even consider a fibro diagnosis for a guy. My brother was told "You can't have fibro, it's a female disorder." Yes, 80%-90% are women and that means some men get it also.<stupid doctor >
