Hey yall,
I spent years believing I have fibromyalgia. Even though none of the medications helped, I just believed I had a tough case.
Things that worked for me were anti-inflammatories and steroids. Savella made me ill and did nothing. Wellbutrin helped my fatigue tremendously.
Last year I started to cry for no reason on occasion, then could not drive properly, and then could not walk well. After a while, I remembered the probable MS thing and went to the neuro.
Turned out, I had been diagnosed by an eye specialist two years ago, and my rheumy did not notice it on my electronic record. I have MS.
My neurologist confirmed it in August.
I hope all of you are well, and your doc takes great care of you. You guys were a lot of help and comfort to me and I will not forget your kindness. ( A lot kinder than some of the probable MS forums I visited.)
Take care and be well.

I'm glad you got your answer! That's one of the illnesses that should be ruled out before a diagnosis of fibro is given. It has many of the same symptoms as fibro.
Do check out the MS forum here on HealingWell. It really is good and the mod there is great!
Here's to better health for you now.

Ditto to what Sherrine said! I'm sure it's a relief to finally get a diagnosis. Wishing you the very best!

I agree! That's what I told my sister today. All those years being treated improperly made me more sick. I hope the best for you all as well.
