has anyone experienced hair loss?

Have you had any surgery, by any chance, in the past few months? I had some hair loss after I had appendix surgery. I think that's fairly common.

I just did a quick search on 'hair loss' and 'fibromyalgia' and several things came up on the web. There's also a 'search' box above and there are several past conversations on fibromyalgia and hair loss.

I also take gabapentin, but don't have any problem currently with hair loss, that I've noticed.

Have you checked out Fibro 101--the very first thread on this forum? It has some good, general info on fibro that you might find helpful. The home page has some good blogs and videos, too. Some inspirational stories.

Stress from constant pain can cause hair loss. This is the simplest answer. I would see a dermatologist to rule out other possible causes, and to keep a measurement on its progress or improvement. The doctor can also give you medically proven advice. A start would be to use a good, gentle, organic shampoo. Don't stress over the hair thing, It will most likely grow back the same as it was once the fibromyalgia is under control.

Yes, major hair loss. My hair line has moved back at least one inch. I even have beau's ridges on my nails, which means my nails and hairs stopped growing at one point.
