I recently read a doctor's theory on fibro brain fog and it kinda makes sense to me. He said that "The brain is trying to tune out pain, which makes thinking more difficult". I think that may be part of it because on my worst pain days, I have the most difficulty cognitively. Not that there's anything we can do about it, but the more we can understand the better. My family now knows that when I say things like, "The boy in the, (I point) has the brown thing for .... Trevor". Translation - Isaac is in the kitchen getting the last pancake for Finch (my female dog). They realize that my pain level is high without me even saying anything. Anyone else experience this connection?
