Pregnancy & fibro

Hi, my partner and I have been considering getting pregnant. Has anyone here been pregnant with fibro? How was your pain? What kind of advice you can give me?
I am in the process of weaning myself off my pain pills (with doc advice!) I wouldnt feel comfortable being on so many drugs while pregnant. But I am worried that I can handle life without the pills!
Any advice would be great!

Well, my last pregnancy was the hardest (I hadn't heard of fibro but I'm sure I was already suffering from it) but it wasn't anything like it is now. I esp. had a lot of back pain. Of course, I had big babies (7.3, 9, and 9.8 lbs) and carried very low, straight out in front each time, so that probably didn't help.

Forgive me for wandering! Some people on the forum have said they actually felt better while pregnant...hopefully they'll come on too!

I guess my question is how old are you. I raised 5 kids the first one when I was 18 and the last one when I was 32. I was able to do it then plus when my youngest one was almost a year I went to work part time. Now when I babysit my grandson it takes everything out of me and I can no longer work. I do believe that the fibro gets worse when we get older Im 50 now. If you are still young and you really want to have children I would say that you can do this. In the end no matter what anyone says though it is going to be up to you and if you feel that you can handle it. Good luck with whatever you decide.
