Concerned boyfriend with questions here

Hello everyone, this is my first post. So my girlfriend of 3 years has been diagnosed with Fibro, with in the past 3-5 months its gotten a lot worse. So I joined here, so I can gain some better insight and understanding of this monster.

First off i'd like to talk about our sex life recently, which is not really happening. It hurts her too much lately to engage lately, and im not sure what to do, if anyone has some tips on how to get past this or other ways and ideas of getting intimate.

I would never leave her or make her feel bad for this, I just want our love life back.

I find it very sweet of you to take the initiative to find out about this disease and help her work through these rough times together. The more knowledge you gain about fibro, the better you will understand what she is going through and the many ways to cope with bad days or perhaps even make them better for her...that is very important!!! I have had fibromyalgia officially diagnosed in December of last year following anacute flare from ulcerative colitis when I began to show much more sever signs of the disease than I had been showing earlier over the past two years. The symptoms were much milder until the baby was born and then four months after that the UC hit and it had been like a bad dream for me ever since. The feelings of fatigue are more than I can explain..its even difficult to stand and blow dry my hair my arms are so weak it is exhausting holding the blow dryer that short amount of time...and the mornings omg the mornings are absolutly the worst for me...I wake up feeling as though I haven't been to sleep my arms legs hips neck and back are all so incredibly stiff getting out of the bed on some days or most really is a huge challenge, I honestly think that if I didn't have my Angel baby boy to motivate me I wouldn't get out of bed all day some days. Following the stiffness that usually lasts a couple of hours I spend the rest of the afternoon dealing very lethargic and try to keep going..by the evening I will have pains in my calves and very soar forearms wrists and fingers...heart and massage help e with that...maybe thu could give your girlfriend a message in the evening our take a got bath together, those things will help to relaxer her fibro pain and perhaps when you get out of the bath she will physically feel like it...anything like that will help and I promise she feels bad enough already so continue to have patience with her, she is legitimately feeling very sick....but hang in there..I comend you for putting fourth the effort...hope I was able to help and would be glad to answer any other questions you might have to the best of my ability.
