Izzy, I wouldn't take anything that knocks me out, makes me dizzy, whoozy, nauseated, etc. There are other things out there that can help you without all the side effects. Why take something that makes you worse? I want to live my life the best I can and have the medications help me do that...not inhibit me from it! You should talk to your doctor about this.
Robin has given you great suggestions. My husband and I earmarked Saturdays as our day together without children. We knew for sure we would go out to a nice restaurant in the evening but never knew where! That was so much fun. We would get in the car and just start driving and never knew were we would end up or what we would see. We'd turn on some good music in the car, talk, laugh, bring up times when we were dating, etc. We always stopped to pick up a couple of movies on the way home and watch one that night. Those are some of my best memories.
I love doing genealogy. That is a lot of fun and is worthwhile, too. You never know who you will find in your background. I do check out the history of what was going on at that time in the area my relatives lived. So you are learning something and can share with your family and pass down to your children.
Just start enjoying life doing the things you CAN do. There's more you can do then you can't do. Don't dwell on the things that are too difficult for you to do. That will definitely bring you down. But, focus on all the things you can do and will do! Now....start planning for a great weekend together!
