Hi Everyone,
For the last month I've been doing what's called the Virgin diet. The name of the diet comes from JJ Virgin who is a nutritionist/physical therapist. I watched her speak on public television and what she said made a lot of sense.
She recommends that people who suffer with inflammation/arthritis and weight gain and bloating cut out seven foods from their diets for 3 weeks then introduce them one at a time to see how you feel.
So I cut out corn, gluten, dairy, soy, peanuts, sugar including artificial sweeteners, and eggs. Sure enough, after several days I saw I was less bloated by the time evening came around and my pain was lessened. I've been sleeping better though I still have to take my sleep supplements and be careful of how much I do during the day.
I'll be reintroducing some of these seven foods one at a time. I began yesterday. I had an egg for supper with my salad. The discomfort started in my upper stomach area and last night I had a lot more trouble sleeping due to the burning painful feeling in my body. One round of sleep supplements was not enough. I had to take a second round. I only had 4 hours of sleep.
