Need to schedule-psych visit for refills, find a dentist whp works with dentral stress and chronic pain to deal with root canal and crown. I need to make a decision on remicade for gastro/rheumie visits next month, need my eyes checked, get tne car inspected and lost the stupid paperwork....

More troubling, and stop reading if touchy.....

I have been seeing gyno for about six months. I am 44 and have been on birth control since 21. This summer, I reported bad headaches, and got switched. On the next, I reported bad swelling and water retention, and recurrent infections, and got switched. This one, I have the recurrent infections and swelling, and the added bonus of bleeding all the time. All the time means constant. For about four months now. We did a sonogram and no inner uterine issues. Paps are normal. Low dose hormone treatment, no effect. Doc is stumped.

I suspect infection and swelling due to some other source than rwproductive area. I also sweat a lot, and then chill. Constant
bleeding, though, is getting old. Very low in energy this year, which I put down to crohns flare and fibro and just bad work environment.

I am out of answers. And, man, I don't know what to ask anymore.

No, and no. Anemia could be a big part of it. I assumed perimenopause, due to age and no children. My sister went through it in her mid40s as well.

But, no hormonal tests have been run.

I've been hearing bad things about being on birth control for an extended period.

Would you be able to consider going off of birth control and using a diaphram or getting an IUD? I used a diaphram for years.

Blood sugar levels are normal. This I check routinely, since my mother got stage 2 diabetes in her fifties.

I really do think the bleeding is hormone related, since it started after I switched to third type of birth control pill in three months. At first, I wanted to give it a little time to settle in, but this is ridiculous. Pill #1, which I had been taking for four years, gave me migraines. Pill #2 got rid of the migraines, but I was seriously bloated and retaining water. Pill #3 still has the bloating, but less, but now continual bleeding.

I do not use women's 'products'. LOL-I know what you mean. Boyfriend is finally healthy enough to schedule a vasectomy, so soon. After his big summer bike race.... seven days on a bike is not conducive to testicular surgery.

Hunh, bugz, that's really interesting. I would have never thought of that.

His blood sugars, thank goodness, are totally normal. His dad got stage 2 diabetes in his eighties, so his docs check that regularly.
