Eyeball spasm

Twice this week, I've had my left eyeball (not the lid--the eyeball itself) go into spasm.  It doesn't affect my vision at all, but it sure keeps active for several seconds and feels funny.  Then it completely disappears.

Guessing it's just one more place for a muscle spasm to happen.  Has anyone else experienced this? eyes

Does it feel like a knife stabbing you in the eye ball? I've had those happen.

Hi couchtater: No--there's nothing painful about it. But I do get headaches at times where it can feel like pain behind the eyes, though I don't think it's related to the eyeball spasms, and they don't occur the same time.

This feels like there are continuous and very rapid mini tremors deep inside my eyeball. A very odd feeling!

Hi Diane:  Yes--I think I know what you mean. Do your eyes go back and forth really rapidly when this happens?  I occasionally have that happen, too.

That is what my eyes do.. quiet annoying but, so far - knock on wood!! - it does not happen often.. have noticed it happens moreoften if I have read or been using Nook a lot so I take a break during those activities - kick back & close my eyes for a few minutes

kinda freaked me out when it first started happening
Because I thought I had something ELSE happening..
- sure do not need another health issue !!

Came across the 'dancing eyes' label while I was researching & have decided it is caused by spasms.

Thanks, Diane. Yes, when I get those 'dancing eyes,' they can sure get annoying.

I've had a few more episodes of the eyeball spasms. I had my eyes checked not long ago, so I'm not too concerned. In researching eyeball spasms, it sounds like it can be stress-related, too. This past week was a very stressful one, with two deaths in our extended families, sickness that popped up in the family, and medical bills totaling well over $1,500. Ouch! I can only say I hope this coming week is much better!
