Hi,
So my headache is back again, not as bad as before but still...
And I have these weird sensation on my head. Some kinda coldness here and there passing or shooting, not even sure how to describe it. And now I can feel it on other parts of my body too. Like tingling maybe. And the other day I had one small part of the head vibrating. If anybody have any idea, please let me know.
Also about Ramadan, talked to my rheumy she thinks I can skip it this year since I had these headaches for 7 months. But the rule in general is, she said, if fasting does not make the condition worse, you should fast. I love fasting and I am sad I won't be able to do it this year but I am also glad too. Frankly these headaches took a toll on me. Anyway I will see if I can do a little bit during the weekend.

On another note, some of you might have heard about this guy who forgot his son in the car and the boy died because of the heat. Now we all experience fibro fog, do you think that fibro fog can go to that extend?

So sorry about that, Sofiane. In my opinion, headaches are about 'the worst' thing to deal with when it comes to fibro. They just get in the way of progress!

Have you seen a neurologist for the head vibrating, coldness, etc.? Especially in the wintertime, I seem to get those kind of things quite often. I'm guessing it's nerve pain. Neurontin (gabapentin) has helped, somewhat.

I hope the fasting works out for you.

How sad about the little boy dying because of the heat! I hope none of us has fibro fog to that extent.

Your answer is helpful. I have been to the neurologists when the headache started, did an MRI but didn't find anything. The vibration happened once, the coldness is recent but frequent. I think I will have to go back and see her.
Do you think this is related to fibro?
I don't understand when they say fibro is not a progressive disease, all these things are new, I didn't have them before.

Sofiane, weather fronts could possibly have brought the migraines back. If you are getting a lot of barometric changes, that could possibly be part of the cause.

People with fibro can get headaches and I think migraines. I don't have this symptom so I'm not much help here. Your migraines could be from another cause, too. Not everything is caused by fibro.

Fibromyalgia is an illness of the muscles, tendons, and ligaments primarily. We usually have cognitive memory problems and some weird symptoms but pain in all four quadrants of our body is the main hallmark of this illness. They say it's not a progressive illness because we shouldn't continue to get worse and worse until we are bedridden. Our pain will fluctuate because it waxes and wanes. We can feel really lousy and then feel better a few days later. If it was a progressive illness, we would feel bad and continue to feel worse and worse. If this is happening to you, get a second opinion. You might have something else going on.

In Fibro 101 there is a link called A Thorough Explanation of Fibromyalgia. You should read this. It is very good at describing this illness.
