I know most of you aren't doctors, but....

I have a question. The last time I had blood work done my C-Reactive protein was very elevated, twice the high end of normal. So when I went to the rheumatologist yesterday he wanted me to have it tested again, along with my Sed Rate. This time my C-Reactive Protein is 3 times what the high end of normal should be, and once again my Sed Rate is normal. I don't see him again for a month. Any indication of what he could be looking for, or what this may indicate?
