Does anyone believe in healing water?

When people believe in something, with or without proof, then it will likely work for them. Even if there is some neutrality of opinion about the product, being surrounded by a 'hype' or a strong belief structure can influence the outcome.

Hey, I'm for what ever will get you through,best paddle for the stream, etcetera. Personally, I do not do the faith thing. I am a hard science kind of girl. Healing waters is something I wouldn't even consider as anything other than an interesting cultural phenomenon.

I have never heard of the healing water from the places you mention, senikintsu. But I have a few books about the healing water at Lourdes, France (the list of approved miracles there can also be found online).

I, personally, tend to believe in that, since out of about 7,000 unexplained cures, only about 67 or so have been approved and termed miraculous, and I know the process to investigate is very lengthy, grueling, and extremely intricate. It can take years for approval, if at all.

What's interesting about any cure deemed 'miraculous' is that sometimes the cures are not what was expected. For example, one might look for a cure from disease and instead find emotional healing. Fascinating stuff!

ETA: BTW, it's never a definite promise of "you will be healed!" Those with faith would likely agree that it's up to God, as far as who is healed and who is not. As I'd mentioned, there can be other types of healing the person never expected, instead of, or with the physical healing such as emotional, spiritual, etc. The accounts of those who have been healed, and whose cases are noted as authentic, are very remarkable!
