I definitely have similar pains at times..my rib area gets worse with flares, and this time of year when i am on my feet for way too long at a time...i also get chest wall pain with barometric changes..
I use many methods to relieve these pains...
Stretching the rib area helps... I get a temendous amount of pain relief with strong topical pain relievers , for examples, pain erase and soothenol x2
I use an acupressure mat..these look daunting, but feel great and i sleep deeper when i use it before sleep..
I think with fibromyalgia, and its issues..we tend to think everything is from it..we can have other things going on , so if its too bad do check with your doctor...
One other thing to consider , is the trigger point handbook..sometimes when a certain area gets too tight and painful ..i go to this book and work the trigger point based on where the pain is..and get some great help...
