Could horible pain in knees and hips while on prednisone or imuran be fibromyalgia?

Hi everyone, I have a serious problem that has kept me from being able to work for about a year and I'm worried about losing everything. I have proctitis and i've tried prednisone and imuran and on both drugs I have the worst knee and hip pain that makes it hard to walk while on these drugs. I've tried humira and remicade but I get insomnia, anxiety, and panic attacks while on both biologics. This pain in my knees and hips feels like it's in the muscles and joints and sometimes the muscles in my legs are so tight and feel like I'm walking on stilts. Hydrocodone does nothing for the pain but xanax almost takes all the pain away. My dr checked for pressure points for fibromyalgia but I didn't respond to them. My dr did say i have myalgia type symptoms and nothing is showing up in x rays. Could this be fibromyalgia? Any answers would be much appreciated thank you!

Thank you for your reply Michele. It's good to know there are other people out there that have experienced the same side effect.

My dr likes to mix an antibiotic shot with a steroid shot for things like upper respiratory infections instead of giving oral steroids or two shots. Sorry, I should have been clear on that. I've learned the hard way to remind him and the nurse that comes in to give the shot that I do not tolerate steroids.
