Chemotherapy??

A friend with fibromyalgia had chemotherapy this past year for ovarian cancer. She had no fibromyalgia symptoms since the chemo.

Her doctor told her the chemo put the fibromyalgia in remission.

Anyone ever heard of this?

I did not delete anything of Rockon's. Perhaps another mod saw something that I didn't see and deleted the post.

I personally wouldn't have chemotherapy if I didn't have cancer. These are powerful chemicals and could make you very sick. The person who said their fibro was gone after chemo maybe didn't have Fibromyalgia after all. Plenty have been misdiagnosed. Remember...doctors don't know what's causing this llness! Taking chemo would be grasping at straws in my humble opinion and I think it sure would be difficult to find a doctor who would use chemo on you for Fibromyalgia.
