I rarely have pity parties because no one comes. But I have been having a lot of pain across my shoulder blades and into my shoulders and neck. This morning I was in the bathroom sitting there hurting. I started to realize that this pain comes upon me when I sit and write out checks. I think, because my shoulders are curved slightly forward because of the Ankylosing Spondylitis, it puts a lot of stress on those muscles with the weight of my head. Anyway, I was feeling mighty sorry for myself. šŸ˜„

Then, all of a sudden...PLOP! I looked to my side and there was a full size tree frog, with sucker feet, sitting in the middle of my bathroom floor! The pity party vanished and a smile replaced it. I believe God sent that frog. šŸ˜

It sat there, not moving, so I took a wash cloth to pick it up. I laid the cloth over it and it still didnā€™t move! I scooped it up and it didnā€™t even squirm. As I carried it to my backyard, I stroked it on the head and said, ā€œYou knew I would help you, didnā€™t you.ā€ Once I got outside it squirmed a little and when I set it in the cool, damp grass it did hop.

I still have the pain but I also still have a smile on my face. Thatā€™s so much better than that stupid pity party I was starting. šŸ‘. I hope everyone has a great day today!

Ah Sherrine, I am sorry to read you are having such pain issues. When pain gets our attention such as yours has, it's hard sometimes to ignore it. You frog showing up was perfect timing. I am glad you managed to pick him up & set him free. Taking care of him took your mind off your troubles for a minute.

I have been having bad lower back & hip pain all week. I finally figured out why! It has been warm all week so I put on a pair of flip flops. My feet were getting hot in sport socks & tennis shoes. I bought these fairly thick New Balance flip flops thinking they would be ok to pad around the house in, I was wrong.

I start my morning having coffee on my back porch listening to the birds sing. I had a pair of yellow & black birds to show up, they are so pretty. They appeared while my son was here the other evening & he saw them too. He looked them up & it they are Baltimore Orioles. I had no idea we had those in Tx. They do have a distinct sound, maybe they will come around more. My mornings with the birds truly help me shape my mental outlook for the day.

Sherrine, I'm sorry you're in pain and hope that you've figured the problem out. I also feel blessed because of your wisdom. That little froggy is probably smiling knowing that he helped you have a bit of a better day.

Straydog, I'm sorry for your pain as well. I, too like to see/listen to the birds. I'm (hubby) building a hummingbird sanctuary outside of a window that I can see out of easily.

Orioles love oranges. Cut an orange in half and nail it to a board or a tree. You will probably see more of the. The Baltimore Oriole I think is orange and black and very beautiful!

By the way, flip flops are the worst possible shoe to wear. They are terrible for your feet and back.

So sorry about the pain you're experiencing, Sherrine. Not an easy thing to deal with. sad

God sends the neatest little messages at times, and the timing always seems perfect. Last Summer, it seemed our little gray cat had disappeared for good. She's never gone and doesn't miss a meal, so I wasn't too hopeful. Boy, did I miss her!

Then, later, I was in the garden and saw something move out of the corner of my eye. It was our kitty, rolling in catnip I had planted. She was almost delirious with "happy." So funny!

This might be a dumb question, Sherrine, but does heat help your pain? I know you're in Florida, so it's not exactly the time of year for a heating pad, I'm sure. That seems to be one of the few things that really helps me.

I saw our first oriole return today, so I put out a dish of grape jelly. Love to watch those colorful birds! They also sing such pretty songs. And the babies eat like crazy, later in the Summer.

Luvs, cold is what helps me... not heat. Itā€™s pool time here and I plan on getting in the pool in the next few days. The cold water really helps my back. I will sit on the steps with the water up to my armpits and read novels. I feel so good in the summer. I use the Sombra cold therapy roll ion when necessary.

I was better today and was able to go to a Japanese restaurant with nine of my friends. My favorite was the shrimp tempura appetizer. Yum! Iā€™ll be getting in the pool tomorrow if it doesnā€™t rain. I canā€™t wait! yeah

I did some unusual chores today, and some of my muscles ...ummm need a frog ?

Using micro current, and acupressure pad.

We have been having more variety of birds at our feeder this spring..

Your story reminded me of one of the first time we took our kids to florida, we were at a pool.. and this small blue lizzard came along.. i thought it might freak my youngest out, but she was totally smitten with it!!
