Hi Lj: I was telling my husband last week that this is one of my favorite times of year because of Spring approaching, but it seems to be one of my body's worst times.
I went into a nasty flare last week, with super tight muscles. I've always noticed that when the snow is melting, my body rebels big-time! It must be the cool dampness in the air.
I went to Stations at our church on Friday, where there's lots of kneeling, then standing, then kneeling. Well, I thought I was in better shape but ended up mostly sitting! Then we ran into some relatives just after and it was all I could do to stand there on my tired legs. Whew....
It's now morphed into my head and the weird 'stuff' I get that feels sort of like congestion, but also like tiny spasms of pain fighting it out all over my head. Steaming and Vicks do help somewhat, but I suspect there's some nerve pain at play, too, so I take a little Neurontin. Virus or fibro? Or maybe both? Does that sound familiar to you?
You're right: It's really tough with chronic illness to be dealing with flu and other viruses, and I would add dealing with just about
anything else the body decides to throw at us, no matter where. We carry some super heavy burdens!! I hope you can find times for something enjoyable, if even only some calming music.
I guess the good news is that more favorable and hopefully more stable weather should be around the corner. Yayyy!

Hope you feel lots better soon! Take care.
