Miralax

 I'm scheduled for a colonoscopy later this month and have been given the Miralax prep. I'm guessing this is a new way to go. One of my problems is I really don't like Gaterade much. It looks like you use the whole bottle of Miralax which seems like alot. I've had the proceedure before and each time it is something new in the way of preps. Anyone have some input of this Miralax  and colace routine?  Thanks Merri

Actually, a little ago I asked the pharmacist in the drug store if she heard any feedback from customers and she said she used it herself. She found it a good prep. I think it is the idea of using a whole bottle of a laxitive that creeps me out. This will be my third colonscopy but every time there is a different prep so you're always in unchartered territory. This one is 8 oz every 15 minutes like them all and 2 ducolax 4 hrs later. I'm not crazy about Gaterade but I am in favor of keeping electrolite balance . I go the 25th and I'll let you all know how it is. Merri
