My GI dr told me to take a meditation or yoga class to help with stress relief. Has anyone had any postive results from starting meditation classes or yoga.

My doc has said the same. I truly need it because I know I don't deal with stress well at all. It's a vicious cycle with IBS. I would also like to know if anyone here has found relief from either one, or doing both together.
I think my problem will be finding the classes in my area. Yoga classes probably wont be hard to find....it's the meditation classes that could be a challenge.
Good luck to you!

So I just finished my first yoga class. Before my stomach was grumbling like crazy, which in turn made me nervous, which defeated the purpose of the relaxation of yoga , but about
15 minutes of the class, i forgot about
my stomach and just got into the moment, so I guess it worked. There is a free meditation class tomorrow, so I think I will see how that goes.
