Hi, just to clarify H. pylori is a bacteria found in the stomach to cause irritation/ulceration, so there are a few different tests to check for it - stool sample being one of them. People with H. pylori have quite different symptoms to ibs, they mainly have upper gi problems like bad heartburn/indigestion, pain etc. So its unlikely to cause diarrhoea or mucus.
To be very honest, and I hope you dont take this the wrong way, I think it does sound like you are very anxious about all this. It is quite amazing how much anxiety and panic can impact your digestive system and there is a high chance you may be contributing to any existing problems by being very wound up about the situation. Now, I'm not going to tell you to just calm down because Ive been there myself and its not quite so easy as that, but what I will say is take some steps towards learning how to cope with your symptoms and learning to accept the situation as it is for now. Mindfulness may be beneficial to you, if you begin to practice you may be able to make some progress towards evening out your state of mind. Dont try to force yourself to calm down because chances are you will just get more uptight fighting the anxiety, instead do productive things like taking exercise (even just walking or swimming) eating properly and doing things that you really enjoy, whatever they may be. Eventually you will reach a stage where you arent thinking about it quite so much, and this will happen quite naturally if you try to place your focus on other areas of your life. It will be quite good actually if your symptoms end up being down to stress, because at least then you know you are well underneath, and you dont have anything serious to contend with :)
