heart beat in your tummy

Does anyone else feel their heart beating in their tummy when their IBS is bad?

I get that feeling all the time. Sometimes it gets bad enough I can see my tummy rising and falling with it.

Your aorta goes down into your abdomen, so this is why you feel a pulse down there. In thin people, the pulse will be especially noticeable!

I get that a lot, n fact had it for 6 weeks straight 24/7. Went to the Dr. because I thought I was having heart palps, she said it was gas pushing the nerve in my stomach. Sometimes I feel it in my stomach and throat.

That's weird, I've never noticed that...and I'm thin (have been for most of my life).
