Has anyone else out there experienced pelvic floor dysfunction as a result of chronic IBS-C? I was diagnosed 4 years ago at age 34. I went through biofeedback therapy, but still have to do it periodically to this day. I'm on Amitiza, which helps with the IBS part, but if my pelvic floor muscles aren't working properly, I still can't go. It's a daily battle to stay "relaxed" so I can "go".
I'd appreciate any helpful feedback from anyone else who may be going through this.
oh, and I was at the doctor's office yesterday - not like I didn't know this, but she reminded me that my constipation and pelvic floor issues will worsen as I get older. Oh, goodie!
