I am having a major problem with diarrhea. I had a total Colectomy in 2008, and found food intolerance at the same time. I fully recovered and was okay for about 6 months. All of the sudden in 2009, I started to have watery, acid diarrhea. I was still eating more than average people, yet I was unable to to keep in food. I did all of the powders, ensure, prescriptions, pills(which I am unable to digest to this day), liquid prescriptions, and nothing works. As of the past couple months, it has gotten worse. I have no appetite and when I do, food pushes food, liquid pushes liquid, and if I have nothing in me and drink liquid, liquid would only stay for only 30 minutes. I have lost about 15 lbs. or more since September 2009. I was about 110, but know I am about 96 lbs. I am in the bathroom 20 times a day average. The more food I take in, the more trips, the longer I am in the bathroom, the looser the stools. On days I eat average or close to it, on top of the 20 times I am in the bathroom, I also have 5 other times where I am sitting on the toilet for at least 2 hours straight having diarrhea. Every time, no matter what, the output is large amounts. I have seen my GI, who gave me an endoscopy in my stomach back in July 2009, and just recently in February 2010, I had an ileoscopy(I do not have a colon, so they checked my small intestine instead). They could not find anything. So in April, I am seeing another specialist. Since August my primary care doctor and I have discussed parenteral nutrition. I am at my wits end and I am too exhausted. I wonder if anyone else has had this problem.
