I have had loose bowel (typically 1-3/ day) for past couple years since a trip to India.
No parasites found.
I have been on low fodmap diet for past few months and now have typically 1 bowel movement per day, which is typically ~60% formed, and the rest may be loose or come out together then fall apart in the toilet. I am slowly adding back in high fodmaps.
My dietician at a top ten university medical school says it is good to have cheese/lactose free dairy/kefir from a nutritional stand point, and it is considered low fodmap.
My Primary care dr and naturopathic discourage me from having any dairy due to inflammation concern.
I love cheese, and when I had some for about a month last summer I was gaining good weight and my stools were more formed than usual. Not sure if it was due to the cheese, or something else I was doing.
I am confused about dairy, and this concern about inflammation... really want to stay healthy and well.
Would be grateful to hear what others think?
