Does anyone else find that tomato based food cause IBS-D?

tomatoes are a natural bowel stimulant, so is caffeine.

Corn will set it off.............Tomatoes do not bother me.

Oh my!!! Tomato based products .... yes yes yes!!! It started for me a few years ago ... even the tiniest amount of tomato sauce would give me acid reflux ... and eventually progressed to chronic IBS eruptions upon eating anything tomato based.

Tomatoes are very acidic, like most all other fruits. If you can't do orange juice or apple juice, then it's probably the acid in tomatoes that is setting you off.
I am lucky (I think); I can't do apple juice at all and orange juice causes mild problems just to the point I don't want to fool with it, but I'm okay with tomatoes and my intestines--possibly because I seem to just reflux the tomatoes *sigh*. Still, I will eat spaghetti, but not as much as I used to.
