Feeling really bad and having chronic joint pain

 I was recently diagnosed with Systematic Lupus (4 mos ago) in addition to Crohn's Disease.  I have suffered from Crohn's for nearly 12 years.  I have had a really rough ride with Crohns.  I have been hospitalized several times with 'Flare Ups' and because I had been taking predinisone to treat Crohn's I developed another condition called AVASCULAR NECROSIS in both my hips which required me to have both my hips replaced (OUCH).  Now, I have found out that I have Lupus and a lot of my symptoms seem to overlap with my Crohn's symptoms.  When I don't feel well and I am in discomfort, I can no longer distinguish between Crohns symptoms and Lupus symptoms. I am miserable and really don't know what to do. It has greatly affected the quality of my life being that I am still fairly young. I work; however, when I don't goto work I am at home laying in bed.  I don't want to sleep my life away.  I would love to find a good support group in the Memphis area that I can goto.  I think that discussing my problems with people who are going through the same hardships would be very theraputic and healing.  Any suggestions for support groups in the Memphis area?????

Call your rheumies office and ask about groups -- or if you don't have a rheumy just call any rheumy office.

And you can also call local hospitals as well as go thru your Crohns Drs for leads.

Found that most of the support programs in Memphis have fizzled out. Found exceptional care at The Fatigue Clinic and they were discussing starting a new support group if there is enough interest.
