Hello, all,
Just want to inform you of a very unheard of nervous system disorder called Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). I have it and was finally diagnosed last year after having six years of baffling issues and countless appointments. Primarily, POTS causes rapid heart rate and dizziness. Other symptoms can include: fainting, low or high blood pressure, blood pooling in the legs, gastro issues, heat intolerance, exercise intolerance, fatigue, etc., all resulting from the body's inability to adjust to the pull of gravity.
I joined this site to try to help others and to spread awareness. I have come across quite a few people with both Lupus and POTS, and autoimmune disorders often go hand-in-hand with POTS, so I feel this post is important.
I won't go on and on, as I realize it is possible none of you have POTS. Just keep this information in mind, and feel free to message me with any questions, or just to chat.
Thank you, and best wishes to you all!

Silly me! I apologize. This should have stated "in addition to Lupus, not POTS."

On the humorous side, POTS is also a technical term that means "plain old telephone system."

Haha!
When I first started searching for POTS, that came up and I had to laugh. I thought, "I'm preeetty sure that isn't what I have..."
Thanks for the laugh! Hope you are well.
