Sorry to hear you are suffering. What have you tried? Have you been diagnosed with GERD? You may need something prescript
ion strength. I have been taking zantac once a day and it helps quite a bit.

I had the same thing going on. It felt like something was stuck in my throat. Sometimes it was worse than others but it was horribly annoying to almost painful. I tried to ignore it and I was eating tums like they were candy. Nothing helped so I made an appt. with my Dr. he sent g a me to a G.I. dr. and I had an endoscopy done last Tuesday. I have GERD. I'm now taking a med called pantoprazole and I feel so much better!!!! Go to your doctor, Lisabeans is right.

Hi Ladies. I have GERD diagnosed by my gastroenterologist, but once I had terrible heartburn that wouldn't resolve and my rheumy said I had thrush (candidiasis- yeast) growing in my esophagus. At first I didn't believe him! He convinced me and gave me an anti-fungal swish and swallow that cured it quickly. Yep. Lupus is full of surprises. Love, Butterflake
