Could anyone help please?
I've had a consultation with a dermatologist today and is going to do a biopsy on my face. He's asked me to come off hydroxychloroquine in preperation and explained why but I forgot what the reasons are.
Does anyone know?
Thanks.

I've had several skin biopsies/surgeries while on hydroxychloroquine (Plaquenil) and no Dr has ever requested that of me, so I find this a bit unusual. I'm not sure what the purpose would be, either. Sorry.

Well today is my biopsy, I'm gutted-for the first time ever I've deliberately gone in the sun for 3 days and I have no rash! Will he still do it?

He didn't do it! But he said next time the rash appears I can call and go in the same day.
