not really sure what these blood test mean . I know they say I'm positive but it doesn't say what one theirs like 150 autoimmune disease I hope it's not just me that's this lost when looking at blood work papers.

I'm guessing you are looking a a positive ANA result. Note that Lupus is NOT diagnosed by blood work, but by a combination of symptoms. Check out our Lupus 101 thread for more information and ask that your Dr fully explain 1) what they are diagnosing you with 2) what your treatment plan is 3) what the expected results of the treatment plan are.

Have you checked into the double strand DNA test? It's a definitive Lupus test. The high end is a 9 and I came in at a 13. My other testing was nearly double the "normal" numbers. I also have fibromyalgia, arthritis, situs inversus and diabities to name a few. I know most of my issues stem from the numerous autoimmune diseases I have.

So how high can the double strand DNA go? And what exactly is it indicative of? I've had test results that show over 14,000 dsDNA. Sometimes I feel bad, sometimes not so good, and sometimes it doesn't seem to bother me at all. I haven't really been able to get to the doctor when I really feel bad to get the test done. Most other blood test results appear within "normal" ranges.
