I'm exhausted today. Is this the beginning of a flare?

I'm so tired today and I have what I think is a new symptom. A rash on my chest instead of my face. Does this mean I have a flare coming on? I haven't had a flare since November. I'm also having more than my normal amount of joint pain. My rheumatologist started me on hydrochloroquine about ten days ago for the flares. Does anyone know how long that takes to work? The steroid injection he gave me really is helping with the stiffness in my joints. I found out during my last visit that the ultrasounds showed degenerative arthritis in my hands, wrists, elbows, knees and feet. It also showed fluid in most of those joints and holes in the bones of my feet. This news surprised me. I've had trouble with my spine because of arthritis and two failed back surgeries but I never thought it would spread to my joints. Of course I never thought I would be dealing with lupus either. Sometimes I feel like I'm dealing with this all by myself. How do I make my family understand that most of the time I'm tired. I have to drag myself out of bed even though I've slept eight to ten hours. I always feel like I'm in the middle of having the flu. I'm always running a fever. I'm always in some degree of pain. Is this what having lupus is all about? Sorry I'm ranting. I'm tired. Mostly I'm tired of feeling like this.
