Hi all,
Rheumatologist acknowledging I have something inflammatory going on, had problems with joint, sun sensitivity etc for years, plus most of the symptoms of lupus. All tests normal apart from one lupus anticoagulant positive two years ago. Evidence of damage in joints by x-ray.
Please could you take a look at my biopsy results as follows.
Your recent biopsy showed a mild inflammatory infiltrate in the skin with some swelling of the collagen. The changes were felt to be non specific and the pathologist wondered whether this would fit with a condition known as urticaria which can be triggered by UV.
As we discussed, I will refer you to the photobiology department as Salford.
I feel that I keep being passed on all the time and nothing is coming of it.
I am on hydroxychloroquine, have been for 18 months.
Anyone relate to this biopsy result?
Thanks.
