Info from Dr. J on babesia

I live in Virginia and tested positive for Duncani. I've been on heavy doses of Mepron for almost a year now and still get the sweats. I need to start up on Artemisinen again.

Thanks ticker, yes, my husband has been taking artemisinin too, but for not as long. That is interesting information about the cross of strains. Dr. J has done just that...he is continuing the Mepron and is adding artemisinin for my son. I saw in a utube clip related to the autism book you recently posted about that Dr. J did say that duncani is tougher to treat.

We have recently suggested to our LLMD to treat my husband's bart first before we treat his babs, based on Dr Burrescano's recent talk in PA that we attended. Per Dr. B, apparently taking Mepron prior to levaquin can make levaquin less effective against the bart later, so he says to treat the bart before the babs. So now my husband has switched to levaquin from the zith and Mepron. I have inquired with our LLMD about taking artemisinin with the levaquin to make sure that is not a problem. I have also asked that we get the duncani test done.

Hi ticker - Yes, thanks, it is really crazy to be telling our (well-respected) LLMD how we would like to treat, but I feel that Dr. B and Dr. J are the best and I want to follow their protocols. It's disturbing to me that the LLMD's we have seen (about 4 now) don't seem to be up on the latest info from Dr. B, which I am able to find on these message boards and through lectures and books! I guess they like to do their own thing and don't have the time to get the very latest information. But to me, with the lack of major clinical studies, I think it makes sense to follow the docs who have seen thousands of lyme patients. At least they have their own "clinical studies" with all of the cases they have seen!

Dr. Jones is now taking patient conference calls on Sunday afternoons and he sees patients on Saturdays. This tells me that he is spending almost ALL of his time on Lyme. He will most likely know more than the other docs who take their weekends off!
