Anyone ever have what they suspect to be a lyme flareup that acts like a cold? Can Lyme in a long term sufferer of Lyme, flare up for a few days in what seems like the flu; or cold, etc, but is not?

Never head of this.
Since lyme is a bacteria, I would not think it would act like a virus which a cold/flu are.
Are u having symptoms like runny nose, coughing etc?

Not at first - for the first couple days I had the "other than coughing and runny nose" symptoms (basically the chill and needing to wrap up and sleep, sore throat). Now that all that is better- NOW I get the runny nose. I can't rule out allergies for the second wave due to the temporal separation.

Good question. I have the same symptoms and thought I was having a relapse. However, my hubby is recovering from a bad cold with lots of fatigue. I'm beginning to think it's a cold virus aggravating my Lyme. I don't too bad of a runny nose or congestion. It's just the fatigue, and a teary left eye.
