Homeopathy for Lyme?

I've read this excellent book and highly recommend working with a skilled Homeopathic physician due to the nature of homeopathic treatment (i.e., it must be individualized to each patient for best results). If you are located near Philadelphia, PA, I know a good homeopathic physician there (email me if interested). You may also want to look into Back Floral Remedies - these remedies work primarily on emotional/mental symptoms and I've seen some amazing things with them.

Welcome to the board!  My son has neuro-psych Lyme as well.  When we first started treatment, we started him with homeopathy.  The first month or so went really well, then they really started treating the Lyme and we were dealing with the Herx from hell.  The homeopath who was supposed to be a "specialist in Lyme" had never seen anything like it and basically threw up his hands and told us to call him, when Dan got out of the psych unit.

If I had it to do over, I would have started very, very, very, slowly with the Lyme remedy and let him herx (hopefully it would not have been so bad), then increase, wait for another herx, etc.  With psychiatric symptoms, slower is better.  We then put Dan on abx.  He has been in treatment for about 2 1/2 years now and we are beginning to see some real results.

Is your son on any psych meds?  It is really important to see a Lyme Literate psychiatrist.  We see one in New Jersey, who has been great.  We only saw him for the initial visit and the rest of the time we do phone consults.

Thank you! He is not on any psych meds right now. He had about two years of horrible psych issues, lots of time in crisis centers and a residential treatment center, multiple suicide attempts, cutting, bullimia, drinking/drugging...you get the picture. The last year he has turned it around with the help of AA, some really good friends and the discovery that he was allergic to eggs. We eliminated eggs from his diet and he got 75% better within a week. I am hoping when we find a Lyme Literate Homepath that they will be able to help us. I have a couple of names that I am going to call this week that I was given on a homeopathic forum to see what they know. I am really tempted to just go to Germany with him and get it all done there. That is going to have be a consideration if I can't find anyone here to help us.
