burning pain on hands, feet and face?

just started up a couple of days ago.. its odd, the top of my feet and hands tingle/burn sensation. and my face has this also some. its like they are on fire but when i touch them, they are cold feeling.. Any idea what infections these could be from?

i have been outside some for the last few days for about 20 min at a time during peak sun exposure times, and i wear flip flops and short t shirts, i was thinking maybe a reaction to doxy

It could be the doxy. I've heard of these reactions from the sun while on doxy. Some say they feel like they are on fire.

i feel like i'm on fire.. i can't stay cold.. i checked my temp and its at 97.8

This happens to my feet, but they actually do feet hot when I touch them...not as hot as they feel inside...but hot to the touch.

Be careful of the doxy. Last summer when I was on it I put sunblock everywhere. Forgot the tops of my hands. It was the worst pain. Burned but not like a sunburn it was extreme pain. Swear like 10 minutes in the sun can do it while your on that stuff. Be careful. You can get 3rd degree burns very quickly. I'd stay out of the sun to be safe.

I've been a long time lurker....for probably over a year. I saw your post and decided to sign up. I have the same symptom as you. I also have Lyme and I have Bart as well. The tops of my feet burn all of the time. They are not warm to the touch. My face burns along my jaw line, sometimes all the way up to my ears. It burns and then sometimes, I would compare it to fire ant bites it gets so bad.

I have a lot of nerve pain because of Lyme. The only thing that helps somewhat is Klonopin/Xanax and if I take an Ambien. I don't take Ambien anymore but I always thought it was strange how it lessens the pain.

My pain doc says that drugs in the benzo classes like Klonopin help with nerve pain.

I am not on Doxy and my pain has nothing to do with abx. Unfortunately, I can not afford treatment right now (I was previously on I.V. and lots of orals).

I have read a lot of your posts, James, and I relate a lot to your worries. I am a massive worrier myself. I just wanted to say hi.

yeah,

the thing is like ive said before, when your healthy feeling, everything is OK.. when you get sick.. you worry!!! and i worry big TIME!!!

i worry about my health condition, and my dogs condition.. eveything was going great for 6 years.. and all of a sudden BOOM!!! we both are sick..

i always have told my dog "rocco" its me and you buddy until the end of time and we will prolly go down togther... And thats the way its going.. never knew a tick would take us both down...

i had a dream last night about us playing disk golf and saw a tick crawling on someones foot and said wow!! that little bug has ruined our lives.. its almost like Fate! i cannot believe it...

james i get the burning feeling at times and i'm not hot to the touch nor am i on doxy. my Dr told me to take B complex for this. it helped a lil bit. but not totally. also sun and doxy do not mix. when i was on doxy a few months ago. b4 i knew i had lyme. my hole face would turn beet red. and thats just sitting in my home.

i hope this goes away for you soon.

I get burning sensations, too, when I'm flaring.

However, I think in your case you got too much sun exposure with the doxycyline. That can really hurt! I've been there. My hands were on fire, and my face was sore even with the sunscreen. My skin wasn't necessarily red, though. It was burning under the skin.

Ask Dr. C to put you on Ceftin for the summer. You can switch to doxy in the fall.
